The Cayman Islands Company Managers Association

The Cayman Islands Company Managers Association was formed on 7 June 1996 as a non-profit association. Most members are typically involved in the provision of what is known as “offshore company management services.” This will entail the provision of registered a office, filing statutory documents, accounting and minute keeping and, in many cases, supplying directors and the management of a company owned by shareholders who are not resident in the Cayman Islands.

Many of the members are associated with local accounting firms or law firms and some also possess other licences such as mutual fund and insurance management licences. Membership is available to all entities licensed under the Companies Management Law. Administered by a five member Executive Committee, the principal objects are to represent and promote the interests of persons, firms and companies licensed under the Companies Management Law to carry on the business of company management.

The Association also considers questions affecting the interests of the company management profession at large, and will support or oppose legislation which may affect the profession of company management. The Association provides a body for company managers to have dealings with other societies with common interests and with any other person in support of the Association’s objects.

The Association encourages strict adherence to all laws and regulations prescribed for company managers, and promotes and maintains a high standard of ethics, conduct, skill and efficiency among the members of the Association. It also encourages the exchange among its members of information on all matters affecting the profession.
