Site audience and purpose

The website is intended to support the development and implementation of a global PR programme and to communicate domestically with financial industry practioners and associations.

Site navigation

The site is divided into two main topics; namely:

Business Segments provides information about banking, insurance, companies, trusts, etc.
Directories highlights associated organisations and professional bodies.

Additionally, the Media Room contains information about the Cayman Islands, key contacts, and press releases.

The Site A-Z index and the Site Map are recommended as alternative aids to navigating the site.

Page layout

Pages on the site conform to a standard format.

The banner menu provides links to help topics and to a search facility from each page of the site. Click on the Government crest image to return to the homepage.

Below the banner, except on the home page, is a navigation section, called breadcrumbs, showing the current position within the hierarchy of the site and providing links back to other pages in the same area. For example:

Homepage > Directories > Statutory Authorities > CIMA

At the foot of each page is information on the date the page was published or last modified, the primary contact details for the Portfolio of Finance & Economics, and other useful links, e.g. terms and conditions and access keys.

The left column shows a global menu showing the main topics. On many pages the right column shows Quick Links to other associated pages and items.

Abbreviations and acronyms

Pages and documents may contain unfamiliar abbreviations and acronyms. Please review the glossary of abbreviations and acronyms for clarification.
