Bryan Bothwell Appointed to Cayman Islands Monetary Authority Board.
31 March 2006 - George Town, Grand Cayman - The Honourable Financial Secretary, Mr Kenneth Jefferson, announced today on behalf of Cabinet, the appointment of Mr John Bryan Bothwell to the Board of Directors at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).
Mr Bothwell's appointment is for three years. He replaces Senator James Kelleher, an overseas director, whose three-year term expired on 25 March 2006.
Mr Bothwell was employed in the banking and trust industry in Cayman for more than 35 years, with particular interests in trusts, company management and other elements of international private banking services. Most recently, Mr Bothwell held positions of directorship in the Ansbacher Group until his retirement on 31 October 2001. He has been a non-executive director of Caribbean Utilities Co. Ltd. since October 2004 and chairs that board's Audit Committee.
In addition, Mr Bothwell serves as the Deputy General Secretary - Cayman of the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
